Great new features released in the last couple of days…

1. Track, Track, Track — see who’s viewing your Empressr and how long they are interacting with it. Best used when emailing it to a friend.

2. Presentation Options - push it to the homepage, keep it hidden, and password protect your Empressr are now available.

You may have experienced a few minutes of downtime today as we pushed new code.

What we pushed
On the Front-end

1. Updated text box, fixed the annoying triple click to activate the text within the text field
2. Changed function of add new slide creation
   • Now the add slide action triggers a request to the server to create slide xml. It then adds the new slide to the slide sorter… avoiding time between creating the slide within the slide sorter and updating
3. Fixed preview problems when previewing a new empressr that was just saved
4. Added second remoting interface to lighten responder traffic

Back-end Updates to support above features

Powerpoint Import is working great and will be released in the next few weeks once these bugs are fixed

• Illegal chars pulled from the ppt file
• Slide order is incorrect when pulled from the presentation

The word Empresser, that we shortened to Empressr comes from middle English impressen, to imprint, from Old French empresser, from Latin impressus. I think that’s pretty cool.

Today we released the Empressr Quick Show feature that provides you with a fast and easy way to create a presentation using the assets in your Library. A multi-asset upload feature provides a fast way to populate your library with images, videos and swf files.Log into Empressr, If you already have images in your Library then select the + Quick Show buttonTo add images to your Library, select the My Asset Library from the top menu, select the “Browse” button and select multiple images from your local computer. Select Upload. Files sizes and the quantity of images you upload determine the length of time it takes to upload.Then go back to your home by selecting My Empressr’s and click + Quick ShowGive your Quick Show a name, then drag images from your Library to the Quick Show Designer. If you would like to rearrange the order click the Arrange Show button, the select Save Quick ShowTo add additional images, text or video to your Quick Show you can open in the Empressr Composr.To have a Preview of the first slide appear in the published version you need to open your Quick Show, select the first slide and then save.Have fun!My First Quick Show

To be release in our next scheduled push is a quick slideshow widget that will allow you to drag a series of assets (images, videos, etc), into the widget, hit create quick slideshow, and Empressr will generate a presentation with all selected assets. You can then publish the slideshow or add additional text, charts, images or video and then publish. This new feature will help build fast presentations.Look for the upcoming announcement in the next week or so
